“日月光华,旦复旦兮”意为“日月的光辉,日复一日都照彻在大地上”。
“日月”是天宇星体,是空间概念;日升月落,是时间概念;日月还是既相异又统一的最高层面的世界整体观。日月阴阳既相克又相生,在阴阳交替中,万物得以孕育,万物不灭的本源,是为天道。包含着宏大的天地时空观和发展观。在老庄思想中,道是宇宙的终极法则。在传统哲学中,人生最高境界就是求道、得道、通道。于艺术家来说,艺术也是“通道”的途径之一。
“光华”则有光线和色彩的意思,在绘画里,光线和色彩是绘画的主要要素。光华还有照耀、开启、升腾的含义,是绘画艺术从形式升华到内涵到精神的喻示。
展览作品大部分为黑白色系,是与“日月”相契合。黑白两色化为相生相协的天道自然,构成融合万物的宇宙世界,呈现出对天与地的东方哲学。“黑”在古代也代表天,既无垠的长夜,黑色为众色之王。“白”代表光,具有纯洁、充盈的本质。黑白相生相协的天道自然,构成融合万物的宇宙世界。红色在古代谓之“朱”,有“心”的意思,黑得朱而天章焕。朱与黑结合,有彰显文明、参悟天道之意义。
本次展览对邀请的艺术家的选择也立足于以上精神内涵,是在全球当代艺术领域十分重要和杰出的华人艺术家,包括仇德树、申凡、徐冰、谷文达、洪凌、杨诘苍、马树青、隋建国、邓国源、王天德、谭平、秦风、丁乙、展望、崔宪基、杨述、李磊、张方白、泰祥洲、陈文令、史金淞、杨冕、丁设、王亚彬、童雁汝南等。

"Itinerant as the twilight, sun glows and moon luminesces" (日月光华,旦复旦兮)means "The brightness of the sun and the moon shines through the earth day after day”.
"Sun and moon", the celestial bodies, has the concept of space. Sun rise moon fall, referring to time. In the overall view of the world, the sun and moon similar to yin and yang, the symbol of harmony and collaboration patterns, are still different and unified.This pattern is the principle for the operation of world and the source of all things continuously reproduction breed. However, in Zhuang Zi’s thought, Dao is the ultimate law of the universe. In the traditional philosophy, the highest stateof life is seeking Dao, comprehending Dao and getting Dao. To artists, art is one of the ways to achieve‘Dao’.
Guanghua (光华) means lights, colors, and the relationship in between, which also the main elements in painting. What’s more, Guanghua also has the meaning of illuminating, opening, and ascending . It is a metaphor for the sublimation of painting art from form to connotation to spirit.
Most of the works in this exhibition are black-and-white-and-red which harmony with "sun and moon". The black and white color coexists with each other, forming a universe that integrates everything, presenting the Eastern philosophy of heaven and earth."Black", the king of all colors, also represents the long night sky in ancient China. "White" stands for light, with a pure, lightness essence. Black and white coexists with each other, naturally fuse all things into one. Red in ancient times called "Zhu", which means "heart", "read book with red ink pen in the black words to make points so that the article glows brilliantly. " The integration of black and white significantly shows the importance of civilization, the understanding to heaven, and life establishment
The exhibition’s selection of invited artists is also based on the above spiritual connotations. These invited artists are very important and outstanding Chinese artists in the field of global contemporary art. 多年以来,我一直对自己发明的一套作画技巧感兴趣。这就是对传统画材料的宣纸。边撕裂、破碎,边整合、重建。再通过雕、擦、磨、挖和新的多层宣纸装裱技法。创作出我的艺术语言:裂变形式。
实际上“裂纹”在自然界:山河大地,古老建筑……都能见到。从理论上讲,真实的裂纹在时空里每时每刻都在变化,所以我称之为“裂变”。裂变是很不简单的。
我觉得“裂变”的美主要来自宇宙中的随机性。东方美学称之为:“天趣自然”小到细胞分裂产生生命。大到能量的大爆裂产生宇宙,真是无处不有无处不在。在人的心灵里与自然界表象与内在……撕裂破碎的悲怆感似乎在表示我的心愿:珍爱地球环境,珍爱现在美好的生活。愿日月光华常在。

作为艺术家的丁乙,其个性化的标志性风格,便是一贯以来利用“十”字形的图案重复和细致地构造出他的画面。“十”字在西方有重要的宗教意义,在中文语境中,“十”字形代表着方位方向和时区,暗含天地空间与日升月落的时间关系,丁乙探索出了一种抽象的审美学,有条理的抽象作法,重复图案里的变化,使他的作品在中肯的当代艺术抽象绘画里显得尤为迷人,并能引起人的好奇心。其作品中那些和谐一致的“十”字形元素把严谨和动态相互之间的复杂影响以视觉方式具象呈现了出来。
